In Memory of Kathy Chrisman

Everyone at SD Solutions, LLC mourns the loss of Kathy Chrisman, who passed away on July 29, 2020 at the age of 64. For decades, Kathy served her community as a high school teacher. Later, as an SD Solutions employee, she was the head of our community outreach programs and mentored some of the next generation of teachers. As a Supervisor for HUBZone Programs, she helped both students and workers alike find a path to a bright future; she was a beacon of hope to those who came from places where good employment opportunities were scarce. Her passing shocked and saddened every employee at SD Solutions, including those who knew her as a close friend and those who were recruited by her into the company. Balaji Venkatesan, the CEO of SD Solutions, offers these words to honor her memory:

During her employment at SD Solutions, LLC, Kathy Chrisman positively impacted more than 100 students from Page County via hiring, scholarships, and Cyber Camp. She was instrumental in SD Solutions sponsorship and coordination of presentations by Parents Against Depression, which helped many parents, students, and staff in Page County with awareness on depression and how to support people affected by depression. We are deeply grateful for her services to our company and the community.

The website of the Bradley Funeral Home in Luray, VA, contains Kathy Chrisman’s obituary. There, mourners can plant a tree and share stories, pictures, and videos in her memory. One example of a memory in action would be this video about the Page County Tutoring Program that Kathy helped Patrick Graybeal produce. Mourners should also visit this Facebook post by Mike Chrisman, one of Kathy’s sons, which was made to collect stories from those who knew Kathy. If your life was touched by her, you are encouraged to share a story on either website.
