The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) is an agency of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) whose mission is to improve health and achieve health equity through access to quality services, a skilled health workforce and innovative programs.
June 2020: HRSA awarded a one year contract to SD Solutions, LLC to produce data visualizations of health workforce projections for internal use and for the general public.
The overall scope of the contract includes design, build, test and deploy new data visualization tools of the health workforce projections for HRSA. Our team will produce interactive data visualization dashboards by:
1) Preparing the data and improving old and/or creating new visualizing maps, charts and trends dashboards;
2) Organizing the data options, creating map/chart/trends options, notes, and downloads for outputs; and
3) Styling and finishing the visualization tools such that they are quick, easy and user friendly and that outputs can be used directly for presentations, publications, and reports.
The dashboards will allow for visualization at lower levels of geography, such as state and county, and filter of special populations of interest. The dashboards will also have the capacity to incorporate changes in supply, demand and distribution stemming from changes. An integral part of this work is to be able to visualize how medical professionals from multiple occupations interact to provide care in a healthcare sector.
