A Multiyear Modernization Plan was initiated to improve agency interaction with taxpayers and tax community with the goal of strengthening cyber security protection and information technology systems. The IRS had a need to update 140 Legacy IT systems with special focus on the tax return process and compliance system. SD Solutions successfully planned, reprogrammed, and tested each IT legacy systems providing a comprehensive modernization plan to assist Application Development (AD) meet system demands, maintain technical expertise and modern language to support current applications utilized. The services provided by SD Solutions successful increased the IRS’s business effectiveness and automation from the way they leveraged new technologies, best practices, and software.

The reporting deliverables provided by SD Solutions encased a period of performance summary listing any work products and dates they were provided. When needed, the team assigned additional resources to projects to help with increased output and quality control. SD Solutions displayed initiative in completing high priority tasks. The team was quick to respond to changes and project delivery was within schedule time. SD Solutions managed to absorb all travel costs and all work was completed as requested and within cost. They held all subcontractors accountable, maintained high levels of quality, met all compliance regulations, and provided clear and open communication to the IRS team. SD Solutions successfully provided excellent quality assurance, management in support services, content creation and management. The IRS awarded SD Solutions a follow-on contract after this one expired to continue their work for Applications Development.
