Opportunity Overview

SD Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Travel Specialist to join our team at ARPA-H Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health. As an ARPA-H Travel Specialist, you will be responsible for coordinating all travel arrangements for our team members, ensuring smooth and efficient travel logistics.

With a scope spanning the molecular to the societal, these programs have the potential to radically improve everyone's health." Responsibilities Include

1. Plan and organize domestic and international travel arrangements for ARPA-H staff, including flights, accommodations, ground transportation, and other travel-related services. 2. Research and select appropriate travel options based on budget, schedule, and preferences of team members. 3. Coordinate with travel agencies, airlines, hotels, and other vendors to secure bookings and negotiate contracts for group travel. 4. Manage travel itineraries, schedules, and visa requirements for team members traveling to various locations for conferences, meetings, and projects. 5. Assist in processing travel expenses, reimbursements, and travel policy compliance for all trips. 6. Stay informed about travel advisories, health and safety protocols, and other relevant

travel regulations to ensure the well-being of travelers. 7. Provide guidance and support to team members regarding travel procedures, documentation, and travel insurance options. 8. Collaborate with other departments within ARPA-H to streamline travel processes and improve overall travel experience for staff.

Requirements Overview

1. Associate degree in hospitality management, tourism, business administration, or related field.

2. Proven work experience as a Travel Specialist or similar role, preferably in a research or scientific organization.

3. Scientific knowledge and expertise in preparing and reviewing manually and electronically generated travel authorizations and vouchers, processing passport/visa applications, Commercial Ticketing Office CTO operations and use of GSA City Pair airfare rates.

4. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.

5. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to liaise with travel vendors, team members, and stakeholders.

6. Proficiency in travel booking systems, travel management software, and Microsoft Office suite.

7. Knowledge of travel industry trends, destination information, and travel policies and procedures.

8. Ability to adapt quickly to changing travel requirements and handle last-minute travel adjustments.
